Customize

Key Caps differ in material, color druability, size/ compatibility and price. Keyboards are super customizeable. Let's for instance take a Vortex Keyboard. You can change the cable and you have standart PBT Caps, that you can swap easily. I mean look at this beauty!

Cherry's Switches are the standard of high-end Mechanical Keyboards.

The color tells you about the feedback of the keys:

 

RED: smooth

BLUE: clicky, tactile, with audible feedback

BROWN: tactile, without the clicky noise feedback

GREEN, WHITE, GRAY, BLACK,...

It's a very subjective choice.

There are even NATURE, RGB, SPEED and SILENT variants for example.
